Namaste, Welcome to SAM-VAD (Together In Conversation), as we begin today \u2018let us remember, \u2018What we give our Attention to matters.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our life\u2019s experience would ultimately amount to whatever we had paid attention to. Attention: is important and most of the times we are indifferent to it. It is as fundamental as food; and we go blundering about, seeking ways to assuage the craving, instead of learning how to provide ourselves with what we need, sensibly and calmly. Once our attention is drawn to the mechanism of why and what we give attention to, it is as if a veil has been stripped off and we become freer in our action and choices.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week I bring to your attention a statement titled \u2018Strange World<\/em>\u2019 from the book titled \u2018Knowing How to Know<\/em>\u2019. It is a collection of Tales, stories, fables, aphorisms and statements that draw our attention to the basic factors that must be in place so that knowledge and understanding is acquired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

It reveals concealed pattern, normally invisible to our customary modes of thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strange World<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our world real short cuts are numerous, but not easily seen. They lead through jungles where hostile savages abound and provisions are scarce. The fruits which look nutritious are poisonous, and the survival rations appear unpalatable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The view from the start of the short cut is almost exactly like the prospect from the other side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are short cuts with a vengeance. The attractive-looking ones are not short cuts at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
